Hair removal isn't just about removing all your client's hair and letting them go. It's also about pampering their skin by removing wax residue and soothing redness. Yes, a beautician's professionalism is defined by their ability to take care of their clients!

Preparing the skin

As you know, everyone has different skin, which is why a tailored approach is needed for each skin type.

Drier skin types can be very reactive to hair removal. The goal will therefore be to moisturize the skin before applying the wax to make this step less painful and the skin less sensitive.

Some clients sometimes forget that a waxing session cannot be successful if they have just moisturized their skin with a very oily product like a cream or oil. For this, there are products that allow you to eliminate all residues that could hinder wax depilation, such as deodorant or body lotion. Talc is ideal for drying damp areas.

Soothing the epidermis

Once the "torture session" is over, the goal will now be to soothe the skin by providing real body care to your client.

To soothe reactive skin, nothing is more effective than aloe vera and its anti-inflammatory properties. Simple circular movements with an aloe vera gel will be enough to soothe your client.

You can also offer your clients anti-regrowth or anti-redness treatments to achieve soft, clear skin for several weeks. These treatments often contain soothing essential oils and can be used regardless of the hair removal method.
