If, like 50% of women, you don't dare to step into a beauty salon, here are some essential tips for a perfect wax!
It's entirely possible to wax your bikini area by yourself, comfortably at home. However, this will be very simple for a classic to high-cut bikini wax, but much more complicated if you want a full bikini wax. Indeed, for a full wax, we strongly recommend going to a beautician who will make you feel at ease.
Before you start waxing, it's important to prepare your skin. To minimize pain, we recommend thoroughly moisturizing your skin with a body cream. Supple and soft skin will always be easier to wax than dry or irritated skin.
Moreover, to avoid post-waxing pimples, don't forget to exfoliate this area with a coarse-grained scrub (avoiding mucous membranes) the day before the session. This will help prevent unsightly and painful ingrown hairs.
Different waxing methods:
If you're sensitive to pain: Hair removal cream can be a good solution! In recent years, it must be admitted that the formulation of creams has been greatly improved! The sulfur smell has disappeared, replaced by floral or fruity scents. However, we strongly advise against using hair removal cream on a too high-cut bikini line! Application on mucous membranes could cause unpleasant irritation!
If you're in a hurry: You can opt for a razor. Painless and inexpensive, this hair removal technique has enough to attract crowds! However, hair will grow back very quickly and be much coarser, not to mention micro-cuts!
If you're brave: Waxing is the most suitable. A little painful for some, it is undoubtedly the most effective hair removal! Unlike the other 2 methods mentioned above, wax pulls out the hair with its bulb. The result is a flawless bikini line for at least 3 weeks! Moreover, as waxing progresses, the hair will grow back finer and be easier to wax.
Once you've found the right method, all that's left is to choose your bikini line shape! From Brazilian to full, here are the different possibilities:
Bikini Line Shapes:
"Classic" Bikini Wax

This is the most common form of intimate hair removal, which involves removing all hair that extends beyond the panty line.
"Bikini" Wax

This is the same as the "classic" bikini, except it's higher cut. As its name suggests, it's the most common for wearing slightly high-cut bikinis without a problem.
"Landing Strip" Wax

"Brazilian" Wax

"American" Wax

"Full" Bikini Wax

Laser hair removal: a lasting solution for your bikini line
More and more women are turning to laser hair removal for permanent treatment of the bikini area. This modern method offers lasting results for those who no longer want to wax regularly. The laser specifically targets dark hairs by destroying their follicles, providing visible results from the first session. For a Brazilian or full bikini, several sessions are usually necessary – expect between 6 and 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart for optimal results. You can consult a doctor beforehand to see if there are any contraindications for you.
Contrary to popular belief, laser hair removal on the bikini line is no more painful than waxing if performed by a qualified aesthetician. Many women even report that the pain decreases with each session. Laser hair removal can be adapted to all bikini shapes: from a simple triangle to an elegant Brazilian or even full labia hair removal. The results are particularly appreciated for the sensitive labia area where hairs tend to be thicker and traditional hair removal can cause irritation.
The major advantage of laser is the precision with which the bikini area can be epilated, allowing for perfect shapes like the triangle or fine Brazilian. For women who choose this method, the results are not only aesthetic but also practical: no more regular waxing, no more unsightly regrowth between appointments with the aesthetician. Note, however, that laser is not recommended for very tanned skin or for blond/red hairs, and it is important to protect the treated area from the sun between each session to optimize results and avoid complications on your skin type.
