For one evening, the residents of Alès were treated to a show where elegance and glitter met.
This Monday, August 1st, was the first time the city of Alès hosted such a competition. Indeed, the forecourt of the City Hall witnessed the semi-final of Miss Languedoc 2022! It is one of the 29 regional elections of France's most famous beauty pageant!
A final step before the regional crowning
This event was graced by the presence of two important Misses: Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022 and a judge for the occasion, as well as Marion Ratié, Miss Languedoc-Roussillon 2021.
While the most beautiful woman in France attracted many glances, the 2000 spectators were still captivated by the stage and the 3-hour show.
Thus, from 9 p.m., the 27 young women competing paraded to obtain a ticket to the prestigious regional title.
The final is scheduled to take place in Beaucaire, also in the Gard, in a few days. The election of Miss Roussillon 2022, meanwhile, will be held in Le Barcarès on August 7th.
And yes, because this year, the former Languedoc-Roussillon will have the opportunity to present 2 candidates for the Miss France 2023 election. So twice as many chances for the south to claim the coveted national title!

Miss Languedoc 2022 contenders pampered
For this semi-final, Gouiran Beauté had the honor of being a partner by offering its services for the beauty preparation of the Misses. The brand was responsible for providing the appropriate furniture (dressing tables, chairs, mirrors...), electrical equipment (straighteners, curling irons, hair dryers...), beauty products (hair styling products and makeup) as well as many gifts for all the candidates and invited Misses!
Of course, no Miss could have been styled without the invaluable help of Gouiran Beauté's partner hair salons from Alès:

- Marjorie from The Colorist salon
Thus, the Misses were treated to magnificent hairstyles and luminous yet natural make-up before going on stage. There, they enchanted the audience by parading in different outfits: evening dress, swimsuit, circus costume, wedding dress... They also shared their thoughts and aspirations through carefully prepared speeches.
14 Misses selected for the final
From 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. all day Monday, the public sent their votes by SMS. At the end of the evening and after the jury's verdict, this allowed for the selection of the following 14 candidates:
