Beauté Sélection Lyon, November 21 and 22
This is a major event for the hair and beauty industry! It's been a year since the physical edition took place, having been replaced by a digital forum in 2020 ("Les 10 jours Beauté Sélection"). Public events postponed or cancelled, webinars overwhelmed, a global epidemic... In short, we're not telling you anything new!
So this year, the beauty world is making up for lost time! The show is setting up shop at the Eurexpo exhibition center in Lyon. Over 14,000 m² dedicated to the best of beauty - hairdressing. This is an opportunity for you, beauty experts, to discover new trend collections, as well as attend live artistic performances and interact with the big French names who are revolutionizing hairdressing, makeup, manicures, massages... and much more!
On the program for Beauté Sélection Lyon:
- 115 French and international beauty professionals
- About ten hours of high-fashion hair shows
- About twenty technical workshops
- More than 40 brands
- Competitions for young talents of tomorrow, to get known by professionals in the sector: CNAIB facial and body care competition, nail and face painting competition, Barber International Trophy and various themed hairdressing competitions organized by UNEC.
Impact, the label for committed and sustainable beauty
This year, Beauté Sélection also makes its big comeback with a new label: the Impact prize! Its goal? To promote commitment and awareness within beauty salons and institutes. Brands and companies that reduce their environmental impact are therefore highlighted.
Initiatives and actions that contribute to developing CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) are therefore encouraged and rewarded! This concerns, for example, the choice of ingredients, packaging, or eco-responsible initiatives that promote sustainable cosmetics.
Two categories are in competition:
– Services category : candidates propose an active and operational service that meets CSR requirements (personal assistance, recycling, etc.).
– Brand category : participating brands must promote natural beauty, integrating the imperatives of sustainable development.
The jury will announce its verdict on the last day of the show, after each participant has presented their project in 20 minutes.
What's at stake? A "green expedition" to London for the 2 winners, to discover eco-responsible initiatives, as well as media exposure for their company!
But Impact by Beauté Sélection will also feature a visitor path dedicated to natural beauty, as well as green & clean beauty thematic conferences (sustainable sourcing, eco-design of products, responsible consumption and communication, etc.). An approach in line with the current climate situation.
