Ladies, nail professionals, to diversify your salon's offerings and provide your clients with a manicure that lasts, let yourself be tempted by semi-permanent nail polish.

When the ephemeral manicure shows its limits

Women love to beautify their hands and match their nails to their outfits. But what women appreciate most in terms of manicures is a nail polish that lasts!

The problem is that with so-called "classic" nail polishes, the manicure quickly becomes dull and cracks within the first few days. This is completely normal because we use our hands for everything, every day. Polished nails are therefore on the front line in every activity.

As nail technicians, you are the first to notice this unfortunate fact when your clients come back to renew their manicure barely 5 days later...

Overcome this constraint by offering your clients a new nail technique: semi-permanent nail polish! Give them a manicure that can last as long as a vacation!

No more chipped nail polish!

Semi-permanent nail polish is actually a colored acrylic gel thanks to pigments. It can last 2 to 3 weeks without damage! Nevertheless, like a hair color that shows roots after a certain time, semi-permanent nail polish is caught up by the growth of the natural nail.

Just like classic nail polish, there are a multitude of shades available for semi-permanent nail polish: brilliant and intense shades with the My Polish and My Polish Absolute ranges from Beautélive and Gel Polish from MNP. Astra Make-Up should not be overlooked either, with its polishes that concentrate base and color in the same bottle.

A long-lasting manicure

If semi-permanent nail polish resists external factors so well, it's because it is dried using a UV or LED lamp. It is the latter that allows the components in the product to harden quickly enough.

For optimal application with a lasting result, 3 layers of 3 different semi-permanent nail polishes should be applied: a base coat, a colored polish (which can sometimes be applied in 2 layers), and a top coat. Of course, each layer must be cured under the lamp. The drying time is generally 30 or 60 seconds; it all depends on the density of the polish. The manicure session is therefore a little longer than for a classic polish, but don't worry, you won't exceed 30 minutes per client.

To save even more time, you can opt for 3-in-1 semi-permanent nail polishes such as the 1 Polish collection which will save you the different curing steps.

Removing semi-permanent nail polish

When the demarcation between the cuticles and the start of the polish is too visible, it proves that the natural nail has grown well! It's time to remove the polish and apply a new one! An opportunity for your clients to try another shade!

To remove the polish, simply file the surface. This will allow better penetration of the remover using a cotton pad soaked and wrapped around each nail. To hold the cotton pads, look for removal clips or aluminum foil.

As you can see, with semi-permanent nail polish, you will give your clients about twenty days of peace! They will have beautiful shiny nails and can enjoy their daily lives!
