Different types of tweezers

There are several shapes of tweezers. Each shape is adapted to a specific purpose. There are slanted tip tweezers, square tip tweezers, and crab claw tweezers.

Slanted tip tweezers are used on precise and delicate areas such as the eyebrows. Crab claw tweezers, on the other hand, allow for precise grasping of all types of hair on central areas like between the eyebrows. Square tip tweezers are used to remove all types of hair, whether long or short. They are ideal for the toughest hairs.

How to pluck eyebrows with tweezers?

For eyebrow hair removal, two types of tweezers should be used: slanted and crab claw. The slanted type is very precise. It will take care of the most sensitive areas. Thanks to it, you can easily work on your clients' eyebrow arches. The crab claw tweezers should be used on the central area between the two eyebrows.

Start by using the crab claw tweezers and remove unsightly hairs one by one from the center of the arches. Then use the slanted tweezers to take care of the perimeter of the eyebrows. Start from underneath. Remove one by one the small hairs growing beyond the natural line. Then meticulously take care of the ends. You must be careful not to create an imbalance and achieve a symmetrical result.

On other body areas

It is not exclusively reserved for eyebrows. Tweezers can also be used to remove hair from the upper lip, for example. This will require much less precision since the goal is simply to remove hair. There is no aesthetic quest, unlike with eyebrows that one wants to sculpt. The advantage of tweezers is that regrowth will be less coarse since it does not just cut the hair; it also removes its bulb.

After a hair removal session on the legs, for example, there may be some small stray hairs that the wax could not catch. This is the time to use square tip tweezers!
