UV, LED, and CCFL Lamps
A manicure lamp is essential electrical equipment for curing your gel nails or semi-permanent polish.
The UV lamp
It will allow you to polymerize your UV gels and your semi-permanent polishes.
The curing time depends on the power of the device; generally, 36 Watts are the most commonly sold. With this power, the polymerization time is approximately 2 minutes.
The disadvantage of this equipment is that the bulbs degrade and lose power with continued use. To maintain a reasonably short polymerization period, we recommend changing your bulbs every 300 hours of use.
The LED lamp
For this type of product, the hardening of the gel and semi-permanent polish is achieved using electroluminescent waves.
Unlike UV, LEDs will allow your gel or polish to dry in just a few seconds.
Moreover, the diodes are more economical as they only need to be changed every 50,000 hours of use.
While more expensive to purchase, this product will nevertheless allow for rapid curing and much longer-lasting bulbs.
The CCFL lamp
The manicure revolution! This new polymerization technique will allow you to adhere both UV and LED gel, as well as semi-permanent polish, thanks to a cold cathode system.
The drying time is faster than UV, as it is halved.
This lamp is suitable for regular use and has a lifespan of at least 25,000 hours of use.
It's up to you to choose the technology that suits you best and that adapts to the products you usually use.
